Mulberry Lodge - the best of both worlds!

Mulberry Lodge (sleeps 6)

You don't have to choose between the coast and the countryside when staying at Mulberry Lodge because you can have both.  This magnificent and grand country house with a beautifully landscaped garden is hidden away from the mayhem of the world behind a high wall.  If you do decide to venture out though, you are minutes away from Aldeburgh and all it has to offer.

Guests will enter the property through french doors, leading to a kitchen/diner with an Aga and granite tops, beyond which is the marvellous drawing room with dining table and soft seating around the fireplace.  Upstairs all three bedrooms and the family bathroom are accessed via the hallway.  The twin room and master double have en-suite shower rooms.

Mulberry Lodge also welcomes well-behaved dogs - surely this is the perfect place to stay?

Anyone fancy a spot of Glamping in Suffolk?

The Yurt (sleeps 2)

The Traveller's Hut (sleeps 2)

If camping conjures up traumatic images of no hair straighteners or places to charge your iPod and bedding down in the cold with unwanted visitors we have the perfect alternative.  Or perhaps you have been there and done that when it comes to conventional camping and are looking for something more.  Thank goodness for Glamping!!

The Best of Suffolk would like to present to you the ultimate glamping experience in East Suffolk - The Traveller's Hut and The Yurt, which can be found in the grounds of the stunning Kenton Hall Estate.    Both of these promise you a unique experience, be it snuggling up in the warm and cosy interior beside the wood burning stove, or relaxing on the decking by the BBQ on a summer's evening!

You'll enter the Estate along a long tree-lined drive, passing the moated Kenton hall manor house and parking beyond this in the allocated Glamping parking spaces.  Your Yurt or Traveller's Hut is then reached via a short path into the woods.  Both have a king size bed, stove and soft seating.

Alex Tarry brings you a preview of Christmas in Suffolk!

Filled with Christmas cheer, Alex Tarry, Director of Best of Suffolk, has been getting snap happy at one of our Suffolk properties.

"Christmas this year already has a very special feeling about it, this year we have been in involved with the sponsorship of the Aldeburgh Christmas lights and I believe anyone seeing the dozens of light encrusted trees along the High St will love this years display.

But yesterday, when visiting one of our stunning countryside properties, Hernsey Wood Barn I think I reached a whole new level of Christmas cheer...on entering the property I was blown away by the 20ft tree (from the same supplier as Downing St apparently!) complimented by the rest of the tasteful decorations, hand made mince pies and the warm hospitality of the owners.  Anyone looking to get into the Christmas spirit should consider a visit there!"
