New holiday cottage: York's Barn, Yoxford

York's Barn
Sleeps 4

The view of York's Barn from the outside is inviting and endearing, a little barn all to yourself, lovingly adorned with pot plants for a homely feel. The inside continues to emanate the relaxing atmosphere, carrying bucketfuls of character and comfort at the same time as being chic and stylish. Simon at Best of Suffolk sums it up by describing it as "A fantastic retreat. There are some lovely rustic elements of character splashed with a quaint and cosy style."

Located in the village of Yoxford, it is a short drive from the Suffolk Coastal town of Aldeburgh. Naomi at Best of Suffolk says "Yoxford is one of my favourite Suffolk villages.  There are two restaurants, two pubs, a village stores and a cafĂ© to choose from for your dinner, so you’ll be spoilt for choice!"

New holiday cottage: Packway Barn, Halesworth

Packway Barn
Sleeps 4

Packway Barn is an incredibly chic place to stay, full of style and charisma. It is light and airy, spacious and romantic - there's even an open fire in the bedroom for that extra special touch.

The wonderful wood beams and white interior make the barn feel smart but comfortable, and definitely a relaxing place to be.

The property is two miles from the historic town of Halesworth which has the New Cut Art centre - which offers music, dance, comedy and cinema, a number of pubs - one of which is the 16th Century Angel Inn, restaurants and a supermarket.  The beautiful historic close is just a short drive away, including the sandy beach at Southwold and picturesque Walberswick (both around 20 mins drive).

Henham park is only 10 minutes away where they hold the annual Latitude Festival in July - this is one of Suffolk's biggest events where thousands come together to enjoy live music and artistic talents.

New Holiday Cottage

Sleeps 6

Elm Cottage lies in a lovely quiet location away from roads in the village of Chelmondiston. It makes for a peaceful break to get away from the fast pace of everyday life, being near to beautiful Pin Mill on the River Orwell for lovely walks by the water.

Also at Pin Mill is the Butt and Oyster which is a pub and restaurant with lovely views over the water. It is highly regarded and I personally recommend it for the amazing food, the scampi in particular was delicious!

The cottage itself is spacious and full of countryside character – you can tell by looking at it that it has been lovingly decorated to make it a comfortable and homely place to stay, and a special place you’ll always remember!

New Holiday Cottage: Southwold Surf, High Street, Southwold

Southwold Surf
Sleeps 2

This lovely hideaway for two is ideally located in the heart of Southwold. It is light and airy with spacious rooms and high ceilings, and colourful touches in the decor which bring a cheerful feel. The open plan living space is ideal for watching the lively buzz of the High Street through the large bay window or relaxing in the large soft leather armchairs.

It is easy to park up for the week and just potter around the town, walking to all the shops and restaurants and of course the sandy beach and pier. If you fancy venturing further, there is a pretty walk through the harbour and over a footbridge to the picture-postcard village of Walberswick, home to two good pubs (The Anchor and The Bell) and a long sandy beach.

Kathryn from Best of Suffolk says "Picture going for a refreshing walk along the coast, breathing in the sea air and clearing the cobwebs, then coming back to this lovely stylish holiday home to curl up and read a book. Perfect!"
