These Shepherd’s Huts were built in the 19th century to provide living quarters for shepherds who were away from home during the lambing season.
The huts are situated in Butley, close to the Suffolk coast between Orford and Woodbridge and each consists of a single room one with a sofa, which converts to a small double bed, and one with bunk beds. In addition to The Shepherd’s Huts there is a practical kitchen and shower room, which enable guests to cook and clean in comfort whilst enjoying the wonderful huts.
